Milton Ribeiro is a Professor of Landscape Ecology, Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), is a computer scientist with experience on spatial ecology, ecological modelling and geotechnologies applied to conservation biology. The main interests include movement ecology, landscape genetics, individual based modelling, urban ecology, landscape resilience and agroecosystems. Actually, he is putting great effort to develop and test new sampling methods and statistical tools to monitor, analyse and simulate several process-based aspects, with emphasis on integrating animal movement with population and community ecology. Actually Milton´s team are investigation how landscape ecology contributes on the understanding of some key ecosystem services from local, landscape and biome-wide levels.
